My first calligraphy piece, i used wacom tablet Photoshop and Corel painter
It says SubhanAllah (Glory be to God) in the center
and the border says Khubsoorat (lovely or beautiful)
i've always been influenced by Arabic calligraphy as a graf artist and i figured id try it out in a more traditional way. Since i was a kid i have heard people say "SubhanAllah" i love the way it is used in common language among Muslims as an exclamation of the divine presence in all things of wonderment and beauty.
What would be visually striking is if you could get it to move. The center circle could spin around on it horizontal axis and the surrounding oval border words could spin one at a time, once, going around the center like a clock with one revolution making the center circle spin once.

I could even image such a thing atop a minaret like a weather vane, but following a fixed pattern rather then changing with the wind. That would give it some added symbolism.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
